POSTE AÉRIENNE 18/01/12
„Wolke über Hanami“ (basierend auf einem Haiku von C. Pom) – ein Siebdruckprojekt von Poste Aérienne als Reaktion auf die Ereignisse von Fukushima – ist mittlerweile erhältlich. Gedruckt als dreifarbiges Siebdruckplakat von Olli Nerlich (Kreuzberg) und in einer Auflage von 25 Stück als Leporello gebunden von Cris Grieser (Prenzlberg). Dank an alle beteiligten Künstler – an Leen Van Hulst, Frederik Jurk, Ib Jorn, Cleo Schwinkowski, Boris Servais, C. Pom, Benedikt Rohlmann und Eva Maria Werner.
Now our newest silkscreen-project „Wolke über Hanami“ – nine drawings in response to the Fukushima disaster, inspired by a haiku of C. Pom – is published. Printed in three colors by Olli Nerlich (Kreuzberg) and carefully bound by Cris Grieser (Prenzlberg). Available as an oversized poster or as a leporello book. CHINA ACADEMY OF ART – HANGZHOU 30/11/11
„Visuelle Berichterstattung mit den Mitteln der Zeichnung“ war Thema einer dreiwöchigen Unterichtseinheit im Fach Illustration an der China Academy of Art in Hangzhou (190 km von Shanghai entfernt). Auf mehrseitigen Bilderfolgen erzählen die Studenten von ihrem Alltag in Hangzhou, einer Stadt mit 4 Millionen Einwohnern. Meine erste Reise nach Asien, bei der ich kaum zum Zeichnen dafür an den Wochenenden aber gelegentlich zum Fotografieren gekommen bin. (Illustrationen unten von Liu Chang, Fang Yuanjian)
In November I teached courses in Illustration at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. It was my first trip to Asia and I was happy about the invitation to give some lessons there. Our topic was „Drawing as reportage“, and the students created some fine illustrated reports about their daily life in Hanghzou (a town of four million inhabitants). At the weekends I walked around with my proven small camera and did some snapshoots in the streets. (Illustrations below by Liu Chang, Fang Yuanjian)

Vom 12. bis 16. Oktober präsentiert sich unsere Künstlergruppe Poste Aérienne zum fünften Mal auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse. Neben Kleinauflagen, Künstlerbüchern, Siebdrucken und Radierungen zeigen wir drei druckfrische Projekte – eine neue Auflage der Edition “Mikrokosmos”, das Kartenprojekt „Maybe“, sowie „Wolke über Hanami“ einen neuen Siebdruckleporello.
This year Poste Aérienne celebrates it‘s 5th year on the Frankfurt Book Fair. Our artistgroup will present three brandnew projects (together with a lot of other interesting work) – a new edition of „Mikrokosmos“, the Artist Print Edition „Maybe“ and the silkscreen book „Wolke über Hanami“.

Zur aktuellen Ausstellung in der Berliner Galerie erstererster erscheint in limitierter Auflage (25 Stück) eine 16seitige Publikation, inspiriert von einem Prosatext Baudelaires. „L‘invitation au voyage“, gedruckt auf 200 g Papier und fadengebunden, ist erhältlich im Rahmen der Ausstellung und im Oktober während der Frankfurter Buchmesse am Stand von Poste Aérienne.
Now out is a fine publication including my newest pencil drawings. „L‘invitation au voyage“, a 16paged artistbook, was inspired by a short story of Charles Baudelaire. Printed on heavy paper (200 g), carefully handbound and limited on 25 copies. Available at our present exhibition at gallery erstererster, Berlin and later in October at the Poste Aérienne booth at Frankfurt Book Fair.
